Shak-ing up

Channel 9's successful children's show The Shak is on the move. According to a Nine media release, the characters Nitro (Beau Walker), Picasso (Kendal Rae) and Curio (Drew Jarvis) will move into a share house - with separate rooms I hope. Eco (Jacqueline Duncan) "has moved on to pursue an acting career" the release says. The characters have already moved from Sea World to Whitewater World, both on the Gold Coast. No word yet as to whether the share house will be located in Queensland. The new episodes will air from Monday, April 20 at 4pm.

Shak is gone down hill big time!

I think it's gone down hill big time. Who wants to see the boys chatting about nothing for 10 min to they go to a dare which is pointless. Bring back all the experiments, info and real answers to questions. And they use to answer up to 10 questions an ep now they are lucky to get through 3. Boring.

The Shak's Eco had some idle

The Shak's Eco had some idle time over the festive season and decided to call Brisbane's No.1 radio station in the hope of gaining a fill-in role following a brief stint on the air with fellow Shak co-host Kendal Nagorcka earlier this year.

Brett...

Brett,
Your Disclosure:

But seriously, My disclosure:

But really seriously, I honestly think, if the trio doesn't work, they should introduce a fourth person again. The threesome idea is good, but some people may see it in another light.

Trying to add a "Jamie Dunn" (i.e Agro, the bloopers are just as good as the stuff that makes it on TV) element, works in television, but hopefully they keep their pants on, while they fly by the seat of them...

Just avoid Kleenmaid, and your problems are solved, and hopefully you get a spot alongside Spencer and Hugh Cornish doing the next 50th special!

So you're the real reason
So you're the real reason Eco is leaving ...

No,

No, Brett.

I posted the link to the photo, as I have met Eco on one occasion, (with Nitro, Picasso and Curio at some appearance [at Chermside] in the middle of last year) and they are genuinely nice people, particularly Eco. They always made fun of Jacqui Duncan, the person, in Q-Confidental, but I don't believe that one bit after meeting the "Eco" character in person.

Take for example, when she did a summer stint at Nova in 2007.

KIDDIE'S character co-host Jacqueline Duncan has been moonlighting on her holidays as a night-time DJ on Nova.

The Shak's Eco had some idle time over the festive season and decided to call Brisbane's No.1 radio station in the hope of gaining a fill-in role following a brief stint on the air with fellow Shak co-host Kendal Nagorcka earlier this year.

"I would work two jobs if I could get a radio spot. I love it," Jac told Qconfidential.

"I didn't have much on over Christmas and thought I would call to see if they needed someone to fill in and hopefully they'll have me back."

Jac's spent the first few days of the week sitting next to Bossy in the booth and last night and tonight will share the 7pm to 10pm slot with Joel.

It's a far different gig to being a pet-loving character on Channel Nine's afternoon program, which in itself causes her a few problems.

"I am allergic to cats, but I thought it was only domestic cats," Jac said.

"I worked with the tigers at Dreamworld and had a massive reaction so everytime I have to work with tigers or cheetahs I have to take antihistamine.

"Some people actually think the character's background is actually mine and they think I am from the country and owned four horses and want to be a vet.

"I don't mind animals (but) I don't want to be a vet. I want to be an actor."

Jac will spend Christmas in Brisbane before returning to pretend she loves animals in mid-January.

Whatever they do to say goodbye to Eco, will be a tear-jerker in my house.
