Retail puzzle

Retail puzzle

I know good toys never grow out of fashion, but somethings should perhaps be withdrawn from the shelves for other reasons. The toy department at K-mart, Westfield Chermside (and presumably elsewhere) is still selling jigsaw puzzles featuring a New York skyline including the twin towers of the World Trade Centre.

And what's wrong

And what's wrong with the way we were for a bedtime story, Brett?

Yes, that other retail puzzle...

That is Chermside. The way Westfield expands the place Brett, it will soon claim to be as big as some shopping centres overseas.

There is even talk, Apple's first Brisbane O&O store will be at Chermside.

I wonder what's gonna happen if they run out of stores... Do what they did with West Edmonton in Canada, and add a hotel, theme park, ice rink, waterpark etc... and make it a destination.

Besides, I hope they try and lure a American department store (Saks Fifth Ave, Macys etc.) to open at Chermside as part of a future expansion (thanks to Westfield's successful US operation), and possibly make it the first 4 department store anchor shopping centre in Australia.

The next move for Chermside, is only up.
