Here yesterday, gone today

On my spot with Spencer Howson on 612ABC we spoke about TV Burp (and my bold prediction that it will be a hit) and The 7pm Project, which is struggling to find an audience. I think the big problem with The 7pm Project is that it's hard to get that much good material night after night; it might have been better as a once-a-week show. Channel Ten seems willing to be patient to allow it to find an audience, but Channel 9 showed no patience at all with the American import Dance Your Ass Off. It got the A after one disappointing outing. As I've already noted, we'll see more of this in the electronic media as the companies chase a bigger share of the ever-diminishing advertising dollar.

Brett...who was responsible

Brett...who was responsible at 9 for putting'Dance Your Fat Clacker Off' on in the first place ? It was ridiculous. If I wanted to see fatties, dressed in lycra, strutting their 145kg stuff...I'd go to a journalists karaoke bar...Dump the show by all means...but dont forget the idiot responsible for putting it on ( in prime time !!! ) in the first place.

An interesting point.

An interesting point. They are quick to fire the talent, but the backroom boys just seem to stumble from one bad decision to the next.

Probably Brett, the same

Probably Brett, the same "idiot" responsible for the Extra axing, for a program that lasted only 14 days.

At least Dance Your Ass Off is going to Nine's multichannel, where at least Extra reruns should go...

iforsy: If you want to complain in person to Nine, do it at the Ekka.

Sorry!

Of course I wasn't referring to you Brett.

I was actually referring to the "Sydney programmer" who makes the decisions, on what programs go in which slots, building on iforsy's comment.
