Fidler's fate greatly exaggerated

Despite reports elsewhere, 612ABC's Richard Fidler (not Fydler) was not suspended for making inappropriate remarks about Kyle Sandilands. That was just stand-in host Julian "The Chaser" Morrow's little on-air joke. Fidler is on holidays.

Clever and funny???...Tasteless and offensive???....Which one is it??? I guess the listeners ( and ratings will decide)

Well....How funny was all

Well....How funny was all that? A member of the Chasers ( AKA Scumbags...Dead kids etc !!!! ) made an unfortunate remark and guess what??? Lots of publicity.
I know I'm a boofhead ( the polite term ) But,to my obviously untrained ( in the media eye )mind,when you invite Mrs Morrow or any of his inbred crew ( a bit harsh,but I'm sure the lads will laugh about it...after all,they laugh about everyone else's dramas ) to host your program your only going to get one thing.....Crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps Brett...you mention Morrows 'Little on air Joke?'...Just remind me again about your opinion on Kyle Sandilands 'Little' on air jokes ???

The Chaser's TV sketch about sick kids was was tasteless and offensive, just as Sandilands' on-air behaviour has been. Morrow's comment about Fidler was clever and funny and I can guarantee that Fidler (a former member of the Doug Anthony All-Stars) would agree. Not offensive at all.

Thanks for that Brett - I guess because I am a regular on Richard's "Panel Of Experts" (most Fridays except today because of his suspension oops I mean holidays!!) I received a heap of calls asking me what was going on..... News of Rihard's demise also made todays Q Confidential.. having said that Q Con also referred to Hamish and Andy as "Triple M dudes Hamish and Andy" - although I'm sure The M's would love to have them!

Thanks Mike; good to hear from you in this forum. It was actually QCon I was referring to in the first place, but I was going easy on them. Not sure if they got Julian's joke or not, but at least one of Spencer Howson's listeners read it and thought Richard had actually been suspended. Meanwhile, on Facebook, it was Triple M's The Cage who posted video of Hamish and Andy on The Jay Leno Show. Is there something we should be told?
