Slow train coming

A colleague wonders whether there's a "can't-do" attitude at Brunswick St station. Why, he asks, do certain trains now bypass the station while platform work is in progress when there's at least a 10-minute interval between trains using the open platform. In London and other big cities (where the systems in place are older than in Brisbane) trains arrive at the same platform two or three minutes apart.
