Rudd at the rudder

Somebody was joking last night that the streets of Australia would be unsafe due to all the union thugs emboldened by Kevin Rudd's victory. Rudd certainly will have to walk a pretty fine tightrope if he's to truly rule for us all and keep happy the people who helped put him where he is. Whichever way you voted, he deserves that fair go he keeps on talking about. And John Howard, who did do some good in office, probably deserved better than being beaten in his own seat - even though I know a lot of people enjoyed seeing him humiliated. He really should have retired a long time ago.
PS: What a shame that the people of Queensland have rejected their hardworking and intelligent Democrats senator Andrew Bartlett. He will end up with fewer votes than Hanson, who showed us when she was in Parliament (thanks to having the word Liberal next to her name) that she was neither of those things. She won't be going back to Canberra, thankfully, but she will collect a big wad of taxpayers' cash thanks to our bizarre electoral rules where candidates get a bounty for each vote they receive.
